PHS 8 - Taxiing6 steps
Taxi AreaCLEAR |
Parking BrakeRELEASE |
ThrottleAPPLY SLOWLY |
BrakesCHECK |
SteeringCHECKNOTE: Rudder pedals alone are generally sufficient. Combined rudder and brake permits tight turns. The nose gear steers through 30 degrees each side of centre. |
Gyroscopic InstrumentsCHECK IN ALTERNATE TURNSNOTE: Check the attitude, heading and turn and bank indicators by means of alternate turns.
PHS 9 - Ground Check12 steps
Parking BrakeSET |
Throttle2,000 RPM |
MagnetosCHECKCAUTION: Maximum drop 175 RPM. |
Vacuum4.8-5.1 IN HGNOTE: Red line 6.0 in Hg. The vacuum system drives the attitude and directional gyros. |
