1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FLIGHT Checklist ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately stop using the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these terms as they may be updated from time to time.

2. Simulation Use Only

FLIGHT Checklist is designed exclusively for use with flight simulation software, including but not limited to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024), Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World), X-Plane 12, and Falcon BMS.

This Service is NOT intended for use in real-world aviation. The checklists, procedures, calculators, tools, and information provided here (including emergency procedures, keybind references, and pilot tools such as fuel, landing, and performance calculators) are created for entertainment and simulation purposes only and must never be used to operate, preflight, inspect, navigate, or manage any real aircraft or real-world aviation operation. Real-world aviation operations require certified documentation, proper training, regulatory compliance, and approval from relevant aviation authorities.

3. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement. We make no representations or warranties that:

  • The checklists are complete, accurate, current, or suitable for any particular simulator version, aircraft add-on, or mod.
  • The Service will be available without interruption, delay, or error.
  • The information matches the procedures of any real-world aircraft, any specific simulator version, or any third-party add-on.
  • Any defects or errors in the Service will be corrected.
  • The Service is free from viruses, malware, or other harmful components.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, under no circumstances shall the creator(s), operator(s), contributor(s), or any person associated with FLIGHT Checklist be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with:

  • The use, misuse, or inability to use the Service.
  • Any reliance on any information, content, or data provided through the Service.
  • Any discrepancies between the checklists and actual simulator behavior, updates, or patches.
  • Any attempt to use these checklists for real-world aviation or any purpose other than flight simulation entertainment.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions.
  • Any errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or other defects in the content provided.
  • Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are sought, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

5. Assumption of Risk

You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of the Service is at your sole risk. You assume full responsibility for any consequences resulting from your use of or reliance on the Service, including but not limited to any decisions made based on the content provided.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the creator(s) and operator(s) of FLIGHT Checklist from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.

7. User Responsibility

By using this Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You understand this is a gaming and simulation aid only with no applicability to real-world operations.
  • You will not use any checklists, procedures, calculators, tools, or other information from this Service for real-world flight operations or any safety-critical purpose.
  • You are solely responsible for verifying all procedures and calculations within your simulator.
  • Any custom checklists or content you create using the Service are your sole responsibility, and you are responsible for their accuracy and use.
  • Aircraft add-ons, mods, and simulator updates may change procedures at any time without notice.
  • You will not hold FLIGHT Checklist responsible for any outcomes resulting from use of the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and materials on FLIGHT Checklist (excluding third-party trademarks) are the property of FLIGHT Checklist or its creators and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this Service without prior written permission.

9. Third-Party Content & Trademarks

Aircraft names, simulator names, and related trademarks belong to their respective owners. "Microsoft Flight Simulator" is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. "DCS World" is a trademark of Eagle Dynamics SA. "Falcon BMS" is a trademark of Benchmark Sims. "X-Plane" is a trademark of Laminar Research.

FLIGHT Checklist is an independent, fan-made project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Asobo Studio, Eagle Dynamics, Benchmark Sims, or any aircraft manufacturer. We do not own any of the aircraft, simulators, or trademarks referenced on this site. All product names are used solely for identification purposes and remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Privacy Policy

10.1 Scope

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is handled. It applies whether or not you create an account. Using FLIGHT Checklist requires no personal information at all - accounts are entirely optional and only add cross-device sync.

10.2 Information Collected From Every Visitor

  • Anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics (see 10.6 below).
  • Your favorites and any custom checklists you create, stored only in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you create an account and sign in.

10.3 Information Collected If You Create an Account

Creating an account is optional and only needed for cross-device sync. If you sign up, we collect and store, through our backend provider Supabase:

  • Your email address, used to identify your account, let you sign in, and send you account-related emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, account-deletion confirmation).
  • Your password, which we never see or store in plain text - it is stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider.
  • A minimal profile record (an internal account id and your account creation date) used to link your synced data to your account.

Once you are signed in, sync runs automatically, and we additionally store, tied to your account:

  • Any custom checklists and folders you create.
  • Your favorited aircraft and tools.
  • Your checklist progress - which steps you have checked off, per checklist.

None of this account or sync data is collected, or leaves your device, unless you create an account.

10.4 How We Use Your Information

We use account data solely to operate the Service: authenticating you, syncing your checklists, folders, favorites, and progress across your own devices, and emailing you about your own account. We do not use your email for marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

10.5 Where Your Data Is Stored

Account and sync data is stored in a database hosted by our backend provider, Supabase, which acts as our data processor. Access is restricted by database security policies so that you can only ever read or write your own data. Account emails are sent through Supabase's email delivery infrastructure.

10.6 Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general location (country/region). This data is used solely to improve the Service.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. When you first visit the Service, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept or decline these analytics cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information on how Google processes this data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

If you are signed in, we also set a cookie that records only that you are signed in and your email address, so the app can show the right navigation state. It carries no other data and is not used for tracking.

10.7 Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from your account page, which requires re-entering your password and confirming a one-time emailed code, and immediately and permanently deletes your profile, custom checklists, folders, favorites, and checklist progress from our systems. Deletion cannot be undone.

If you never create an account, we hold no account data on you to delete - clearing your browser's local storage removes everything the Service stored locally.

10.8 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can already exercise all of these from your account page - viewing your email and deleting your account and all associated data - without contacting us. For anything else, reach out via the contact page.

10.9 Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us via the contact page and we will delete it.

10.10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service, or of an existing account, after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and FLIGHT Checklist regarding the use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes. Continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, please reach out via the contact page on our website.
