- 2Locate a suitable field and establish a spiral pattern 1,000 ft above the field at the downwind position

Alternator Failure

- 1Check the circuit breaker panel; close an open breaker only once. If it opens again the equipment has failed
- 2AmmeterCHECK TO VERIFY INOPERATIVE ALTERNATOR
- 3If the ammeter shows zero: ALTR switchOFF
- 4Reduce electrical loads to minimum
- 5ALTR FIELD circuit breakerCHECK AND RESET AS REQUIRED
- 6ALTR switchON
- 7If power is not restored: ALTR switchOFF, reduce loads and land as soon as practical. The battery is the only remaining source of power
Icing
