AIRCRAFT BRIEF

The Airbus A350 XWB (Extra Wide Body) made its first flight on June 14, 2013, and entered commercial service with Qatar Airways in January 2015. Constructed from over 50% carbon fibre reinforced polymer, it is one of the most fuel-efficient long-haul widebodies ever built, burning roughly 25% less fuel than comparable predecessors. Powered exclusively by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, the A350-900 can carry up to 369 passengers up to 15,000 km, making it the backbone of ultra-long-haul operations worldwide.
