Dornier Do 228-100 (Carenado)MSFS 2024 · Startup Checklist · 196 steps · 20 phases
PHS 1 - Pre-Flight Planning8 steps
| 01 | Weather Briefing (METAR / TAF)REVIEWEDNOTE: The Do 228 is unpressurised. Maximum operating altitude is 15,000 ft, or 25,000 ft only if the maximum allowable airspeed indicator (SCN D08) is fitted, so weather is flown through rather than over. | |
| 02 | NOTAMsREVIEWED | |
| 03 | Fuel RequiredCALCULATEDNOTE: 2,386 litres (4,156 lb) consumable of 2,441 litres (4,251 lb) total. | |
| 04 | Weight and BalanceWITHIN LIMITSCAUTION: MTOW and max landing weight are both 5,700 kg (12,566 lb). Max ramp weight 5,730 kg, max zero fuel weight 5,540 kg (12,214 lb). Forward baggage limit 90 kg, rear baggage limit 150 kg. | |
| 05 | Takeoff and Landing DistancesCALCULATEDNOTE: The weight-altitude-temperature limit sets the maximum takeoff weight for the conditions, and is what guarantees climb performance after an engine failure at or above V1. | |
| 06 | Charts and Flight PlanPREPAREDNOTE: The Do 228 is a STOL commuter. Confirm runway length, surface and obstacles. | |
