AIRCRAFT BRIEF
The Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum is a twin-engine, fourth-generation air superiority fighter designed to counter the American F-15 and F-16. First flying in 1977, its combination of helmet-mounted sight, IRST sensor, and superb maneuverability made it one of the most feared dogfighters of the Cold War era. The MiG-29S variant featured increased fuel capacity, a dorsal hump for additional avionics, and the ability to carry the R-77 active-radar missile.
