AIRCRAFT BRIEF
The McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle is a dual-role fighter designed for long-range interdiction and air superiority. Entering service in 1988, it became the USAF's premier deep-strike platform, capable of penetrating enemy defenses at low altitude in any weather. The F-15E can sustain 9G throughout its flight envelope and carries the largest weapons loadout of any Western fighter.
